I am trying to find out if there is any difference between these two cards that makes the price difference on the Chaintech about $25-30 more than the XFX card? Is there some faster clock speed or something on the Chaintech that isn't on the XFX?

Well, first ensure they are both 6600GT's. I'm going to assume you're talking PCIe because Chaintech doesn't make an AGP version yet.

The XFX has Dual DVI (which is actually a better feature since you can use an adapter to get VGA)

Other than that, it looks like you're buying a name

Do not think there is any real difference between the two. Personally I would buy the XFX over the Chaintech.

My last few video cards were ASUS or Gainward, bought a Chaintech almost a year ago and it was a nightmare to get it replaced. The vendor could not get a exact replacement on it because they were getting batches of bad video cards from Chaintech (bad capicators).....after two months with no response from Chaintech they swapped it with a more expensive (and more powerful) Gainward card for free.

Yes they are both 6600GT's indeed, and both PCI Express.

Here is the link for Chaintech - $205

Here is the link for XFX - $185

Now I figure for $370 + Free 2nd Day FEDEX shipping you cannot beat that. I was going to get a single 6800GT, but since the prices are sky high at about $500, I don't really think its worth it right now. So I think I'll stick with 2x6600GT's

BTW, I plan on pairing these with an Asus A8N SLI Deluxe.
