what is the difference between the 2007FPW and 2007WFP? i have concluded that they are probably the same but i am still curious as to why Dell sometimes has BOTH monitors listed on their site. also they have different product codes.

2007WFP is widescreen (1680x1050) and 2007FPW isn't (1600x1200) I think..

The 2007FPW has the W and F in different locations.

Dell apparently has a problem syncing the model numbers between websites.

Its either WFP or FP

Wide Flat Panel

Flat Panel Wide

'FP' obviously = Flat Panel which means only 4:3

does anybody read?

they have a 2007FPW listed on Dells site. the 2007FPW is listed under the monitor options when building a comp. they also sometimes have BOTH the 2007FPW AND 2007WFP listed on the monitors section of the site. if they are the same thing then why list BOTH and give them DIFFERENT product codes.

ahh i hadn't checked Dell's website. Also i just read the thread title not the op, arh well.

I always went by the listing on THIS site, as they are usually quite accurate with their listings. From monitor 7 ? 9 they are either FP or WFP. I didn?t think there was any other variants.
