Difference between supported steppings

Hi, I'm hunting for a new mobo, and I currently have a CPU with stepping E6. What would be the difference if I got a mobo that supports stepping E3 and one that supports E6? Thanks

Just a later BIOS, usually. With a BIOS that doesn't know how to handle the CPU stepping you have, there's always the chance that the board won't even boot to let you update the BIOS.
