Difference between SP1 and SP1a?

What does the 'a' signify? I'm creating a slipstreamed winxp CD with sp1. I have an older SP1 file but the newest is called SP1a (which is only 125mb opposed to the original which is 133mb). Which should I use?

Decided to just us the 'a' version since its newer, what the hell.

Anyway, if anyone has slipstreamed sp1 using Nero please see my other thread as I have a slight problem.

SP1 has MS's Virtual Machine Java. SP1a doesn't.

Yeah. Personally, I would still like to get a hold of the original "XP SP1", I have this bizarre desire to keep the MSJVM around..

I have msjavx86(Microsoft VM) ..size is 5.24MB ..🙂

Pardon my lack of knowlege, but what is the Virtual Machine Java good for?

Running old Java programs that expect the Microsoft JVM, instead of the newer standard Sun JVM.

Or websites ...I have some favorites like
The Official U.S. Time Clock
that look "smoother" with the MS VM java. The Sun just don't cut it ...check it out for yourself.
