Why bump a deleted note? Need some context here. The term panel is used for a section of a touchscreen designed for user digital input. Screen can mean the desktop, the display, etc.

Sorry for the confusion, but I "bumped" before I deleted. I got the answer on Reddit. Reference was to a DROPPED HP Mini that had nothing on screen, but would work with external monitor. Need to replace it, I think, but I see that they sell screens AND screen panels, and was wondering the difference between the 2.

Turns out it MAY just be a loose connection...will have to check over the weekend.

Screens could be the display assembly, frame and all. Panels in that context could be just the bare unit.

In future don't need to delete, just post a follow up that it was resolved, and maybe leave your response, may be helpful for other users.
