Anyone have any tips for me? I'm looking for the differences between models CT4830, 4831, 4832, 4760, and 4870. I was trying to find WinXP drivers for my CT4830 SBLive Value OEM, but could only find drivers for the other models of SBLive Value. WinXP will not let me use the other cards' drivers on my SBLive.
Because they're all based on the EMU10K1 processor, I was hoping there'd be a way to "fool" my CT4830 into thinking it's a CT4760. If the only difference is an addition of an SPDIF plug or support (but not requirement) for a Live Drive, then it seems like a good method of getting these apparently "outdated" sound cards to work in WinXP.
Any links to other websites appreciated! ^_^
