Difference between P182 and P180B

Hello,

I'm not asking for functional differences, I'm asking purely from an aesthetics point of view - which one is "Black?"

Here's the problem, I'm going to buy the P182, but Newegg's stock photo makes it look terrible (flat shade of grey) but ZipZoomFly's photo makes it look completely black and IMO looks better. However, Antec's site doesn't list 2 iterations of the NON-SE P182, only Gun Metal Black, and my friend is convinced that it's simply a picture of the black P180B, and both Newegg and ZZF have the exact same P182 case.

I'm trying to find photos, but no one is ever clear on it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Oh I'm definitely getting the P182, it's just that I thought there was a full "black" version along with the standard "Gun Metal" version.

So there really isn't a black P182, and those pics are of the P180B?
 
Okay, if that's the case I'll eat my words then.

Unless someone can prove to me otherwise (and I would love that!) I suppose the P182's pictured on Newegg and ZipZoomFly are the exact same case, just either taken at different angles/lighting to make it look different, or ZZF is using a picture of the P180B.
 
I got a P180B. It's got the features of the P182 (Gunmetal)...wire management, etc.
If you want black, get the P180B.
 
Well, I think the P180B is discontinued at Newegg. Not too much of a hassle though, if it's the same color I'll just grab the P182, it's current 140 with free shipping for the weekend and a $40 MIR for $100 net. It's not a spectacular deal, but I requested they do something about the price and they did so I might as well buy it before the price shoots back up.
 
They were offering deals on the 180B, but I haven't seen any lately.
Go here & pick you up the 182 for $69.99AR (shipping ~$17).
If you don't like the dark gray color, take it to a body shop & have it painted...hehehe.
 
Lol having it repainted might be a little extreme, but as long as it's not outright gray I suppose I'll live with it and get used to it.
I don't have any way of getting to a MicroCenter and I did see that online deal byt their online service is supposedly hit or miss.

I just bit the bullet and ordered the P182 from Newegg. Here's to hoping for the best lol.
 
the black is really black.

And the gun metal is a little gray. Ive seen both up close. And i believe the new 180's all have the new cable route upgrade.
