I used both on my 100mbit lan with cable modem access. Mozilla/Firebird out performed Opera (7.20) by a wide margin. Not only that but Opera has serious formatting issues on many sites, including AnandTech.

IE looks like crap compared to Mozilla/Firebird.

Mouse gestures are built into Mozilla/firebird too.

I didn't mind Opera at first, but the formatting and other annoyances caused me to switch to a browser that was faster and didn't crash .
