Difference between noise levels w/ delta fan on 6035 and fop 38?

I was avoiding the delta 38cfm fan because of the reported extreme noise levels. However I recently read that the noise is considerably reduced if you use it with an alpha hs, because on an alpha you use the fan to suck and the air is not blowing through a hs. Can anyone verify/disprove this? Any comments are appreciated, especially if you have both the fop38 and alpha

I have both....the delta on the Alpha is still loud, but the pitch of it is not as annoying as the whining you get when it's on the fop38

I just installed mine, as a matter of fact (FOP38). It's a little noticeably loud, but no more than the rest of the fans in my case . . . I've got a full tower with 3 80mm intakes, a slot cooler, and a 92mm exhaust in addition to the power supply fan, so the case was already noticeably louder.
