difference between NF4 and NF500?

Sorry, if you mean not nForce 500 Series but just the nForce 500 chipsets, then it's exactly identical with nForce 4.

nForce 500 = nForce 4
nForce 500 Ultra = nForce4 Ultra
nForce 500 SLI = nForce4 SLI

Even there are may nForce4 motherboards for Socket AM2. NVIDIA renamed the old chipsets purely for marketing purpose.
