One important difference is that the Ultra2 doesnt mention anything about the thermal diode protection. While the Ultra and Ultra-ARU clearly specify that it has the diode protection.

edit: Nevermind that. So has anyone used the Ultra2??? Is it really new? What's so great about it??

edit again: Here is a News Release on it. It says it does support thermal diode. They emphasize bluetooth as well, however this page of Anandtechs review of the original Ultra says that it supports bluetooth as well. Still trying to figure out what is new in the Ultra2.

Looks like the Ultra 2 is advertised to support a faster CPU (Ultra 2 = 2100+, Ultra ARU = 2000+) Also, the Ultra 2 looks to have native USB 2.0 ports, while the ARU has both 2.0 and 1.1 ports (not that it makes much of a difference since 2.0 is downward compatible with 1.1). Although it seems that the obvious differences are few and far between.
