What are the differences between these two mobos? Does anyone see any problems in me going for the K7T pro 2 and not the pro 2 a? (I can't find the A in the uk).

Thanks 🙂 Also...I was planning on doing some reaosonable overclocking, but am I right in thinking that the voltage on the board only goes to 1.85V? What's the stock voltage for a Tbird 1.1Ghz?

Thanks, sorry for the lamo questions 😉

Hola, 😉

I beleive the only difference between the Pro2() and Pro2(a) is simply ata100 support (a).. which ofcourse you know isn't that special with the current drives!
As for the coltage.. I'm pretty sure it only goes up to 1.8 for some odd reason, but it can be fixed? I'm pretty sketchy with that question.. but I remember reading something somewhere.. lol.

Anyway, good luck.. nice board and chip!

Cheers, Mem, but I reckon I'm going to hold out for the K7T turbo now based on the KT133A chipset. Looks like it could be a winner, and should be out fairly soon 🙂

Thanks for the link though!

Yeah the turbo looks like it will be a winner.

But i can't wait i wanna upgrade so i'll be picking up the msiKT7 pro2a.

Hey i could always return it and get the new version. There is always something new coming out ever second so it's kind of hard too keep up.

This will be the first time trying a Msi motherboard from reading all the great things about it i may stick with them. They got great prices and the boards are great. Usually you don't get that but with MSI you do. Man i sound like a commerical.

Merry Christmas hmm you can spell MSI with Merry Christmas LMAO 😀
