My friend told me that he has a GeForce 2 mx440 and a GeForce4 mx440 video card.

I've never heard of the GF2 mx440, does it exist? Or did my friend goof and what he really meant was a GF2 mx400 ?

What is the difference between them?

The main differences are clock speeds and also the MX440 has DDR-RAM while the MX400 has SDR-RAM. Also the MX440 has other things like better DVD acceleration.

The geforce 2 TI is about the same as the Geforce 4mx's tho it has DDR ram 64mb and all. I ran that until a week ago. Also the Geforce 4mx's have a different memory achitecture. For the price Geforce 2's are better than the low end Geforce 4's but in the higher end Geforce 4mx's they are better than the 2's.
