Carapelli makes both. The premium version costs a couple of dollars more.

They taste the same to me when i made linguinni in olive olive oil. and when i used it with my salad.

anyone else try the premium brand? if so, do u taste a difference? and how r the 2 brands different from each other?

I know that virgin means the first pressing. Maybe premium means that the press was cleaned first:). Might be that it is filtered better after pressing:confused:.

Bump, I'd like to know.

Extra Virgin is the first pressing. Virgin is the second pressing.

That's all I know for sure, but there are established standards for the various grades. I'm sure a google search would reveal the standard differences.

Not sure about the premium designation within that brand. Maybe a better selection of olives was used?
