Difference between DVI-D & D-SUB?

sep

Does anyone know of an Article or something that shows the big difference between these?

Things I figured out so far:

  • Refresh doesn't matter
    No conversion (digital to digital)

My question is why should I use the DVI-D instead of the D-SUB?

Thanks,

Night and day? 😛

DVI-D is a digital connection. Since an LCD is a digital display medium, you'll want to use that. D-Sub is just a name for VGA. It's an analog interface, so you'll lose sharpness and overall quality.

Cliff's Notes - DVI-D is much better due to the no conversion.
