I see on Amazon a Corsair TX 750w for about $109.99 and a HX 750w for about $150.00. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two?

They are completely different. The HX is modular the TX isn't. The HX is a new platform that is much more efficient (85%-90%) and has much better ripple suppression. The TX is an older platform that is only 80%-83% efficient and at higher loads gets closer to, but still below the specification for ripple.

The TX line is top notch and has a good reputation. Both are good PS but don't be afraid to save a little money and go with the TX it would still be a good decision, because the TX is still better than most of whats out there.
