difference between cookie and cookie2

Hello,

i was trying to understand the difference between cookie and cookie2

My understanding is that cookie2

contains some extra fields (e.g. port...)
is more secure

some servers send cookie2 while some servers send cookie
clients should support both cookie and cookie2

is my understanding correct?
