Difference between Aopen and Pioneer drives?

Does anyone know if there is an advantage to getting either the Aopen 16X slot load DVD drive or the Pioneer 16X slot load DVD drive listed at newegg.com. They are both about the same price and i noticed the Aopen comes with a copy of Powerdvd. I would also like to know if anyone has any experience as to which one of these drives would make less noise.

We stopped using AOpen components a while back - the parts are OEM'ed for them and all AOpen does is put their name on it, so you never know who made the product and it can change without notice. My guess is they go for whoever has the cheapest price that month...

The slot loading AOpen and the Pioneer 106S are both the same drive. I have the 106S and it is quiet.
