difference between analog and HDTV tuners?

So I was looking through TV tuner cards and I was interested in an HD tuner. Unfortunatly, the only thing that'll fit into my LP chassis was a hauppage PVR150 card. I was looking at other tuners, and the only one that specifically says it can tune HD channels is the ATi wonder elite. So... does this mean ATi is the only one that does it, or is HDTV tuning a common feature on cards?

Are you SURE you need an HDTV tuner? You only need it if using an HDTV antenna. If you're using cable or satelite for HDTV the signal is usually NOT provided via the tuner but via component video or DVI instead.
