Is it worth the extra money to get the AIW 9800 Pro? I am a casual gamer and would like to be able to use the computer as a PVR and for occasional TV viewing. 2GHz system with 1 GB of memory.

If you have a monitor with a DVI connection, the AIW 9800 Pro is the way to go, since the 9600 doesn't have a full size DVI port or an adapter that I'm aware of. As far as gaming, look at what games you play, then checout the reviews of the 9800 Pro and 9600 Pro, they should give you a good idea if how your card will perform.

9800Pro AIW -- single DVI out (can be adapted to analog VGA with the provided cable).
9600Pro AIW -- dual VGA out, no DVI. Also has an FM tuner and the newer version of the Remote Wonder.

TV-in and PVR is identical between the cards. 3D performance should be identical to the non-AIW versions.

The AIW 9600 Pro does have slightly faster memory than the retail 9600 Pro, but that is the only difference.

What typo monitor u got? if u have a DVI monitor, go with the AIW 9800 pro, (or the AIW 9700 pro if u can find it), as it will give u the DVI port. The second monitor issue can be solved by getting a monitor that has S-Video, composite, or component input. One example is the Sony Personal Cinema Monitor 17" Widescreen LCD. The only thing u don't get on the 9800 is the radio tuner, but honestly, i used to have a TV tuner card with radio, and never bothered to use the radio feature, so i don't know how useful that is to u. If u got a CRT monitor, just go with the AIW 9600 pro, if u have a DVI monitor, get AIW 9800 pro. good luck on ur card choice.
