If I was told correctly, a supercharger heats the air coming in so it can ignite the gas faster. What about the turbo? Does it just pump the gas faster? I wasn't ever really told how those work.

The air mixes with the gas, and a spark ignites it, causing an explosion.Originally posted by: AgaBooga
So wait, where is the air forced into? Is it forced to where the gas is burned?
Learn how the internal combustion engine works, and you'll understand. Normally, a carburetor or the air intake sucks air in.....forced induction literally blows more air in than the engine could pull in on its own.....therefore you can add more gas, get a bigger explosion, and more power.Originally posted by: AgaBooga

hmmm......still don't get how that relates to methods of forced induction.....time for another beer...or maybe its one too manyDifference between injuries inflicted on driver of "_______'ed" vehicle when they lose control doing dumb sh!t

I got that, but it isnt accurate, or funny.Originally posted by: MercenaryForHire

Turbos are more efficient man...
Hm, never knew that superchargers were regarded as better. Oh well, no sense spending too much time contemplating a stupid postOriginally posted by: MercenaryForHire

Generally, supercharger >> turbocharger.
Therefore, more power = faster speed = more damage done on impact.
So while a turbocharger = massive injuries, a supercharger = death.
BTW, I don't find it funny in the slightest either - just trying to shed some light on the earlier commentary.

Eh, it the physics get way too complicated. Simply:
ricers + turbo ~ ricers + super = smashed cars
(you hear luvly got banned? i still don't know why though)
How's that?Originally posted by: MercenaryForHire
