the "S" version is the server version, I believe = no o/c and a different board. You want the "D"

NO! OC abilities with D975XBX2 and default bios 2395 on brand new board?
A have tested my brand new D975XBX2 and there aren`t any adjustments to voltages or the bus speed and it`s impossible to overclock? Got a long warning list when i entered bios and sad YES to enabling oc but that didn`t help at all.

Latest BIOS Update 2395 [BX97520J.86A] was alreadly on the mb. It doesn`t have any cooling fins on the chips around the cpu either. Is this some new board from intel without oc abilities?

In bios I get this information.

*****Product name: S975XBX2******
Version: AAD66350-302
Serial Number: BQB2644002QM

I tested with a Xeon 3060 that is capable of 3,7ghz on air with EVGA680.

If you can't get the "D" look for another board
