Differemce between OEM and Retail

What is the general difference between video cards that are OEM and Retail.
I plan on buying a a Hercules Prophet II GTS PRO 64Meg OEM which is 280, the retail box sells for 329. I have heard that OEM memory might be a little slower than the retail products, is there any truth to this? Dont tell me that big price difference is all in the pretty 'white' box.
 
It really varies between vendors. In some cases the only difference is the white box packaging but in other cases OEM hardware is a little worse than retail hardware.

The best advice for you is to simply email Hercules and ask them exactly what the difference is.
 
Sometimes, OEM versions do not carry all the include software (like games that come along with Retail versions of video cards). I think.
