Differant Side panel mod?

I've been wondering for a while what would happen if you took out the window on a side panel, and replaced it with a thin whitish dust filter. It would improve air flow and look cool if their were lights behind it. I just haven't figured out how to put a blowhole in it (maybe don't cut out the side panel) or what material to use. Anyone seen something like this before?

Maybe leave a strip down the middle (effectivly 2 windows, or a cross with 4 windows) and a spot for a blowhole in the middle.

They have large sheets of furnace filter type material at Home Depot (and other hardware/ home stores) you could use.
