Differant CPU

What is the difference between i5 750 & q 6600
both got 4 processor
Q6600 got older tech to manufacture but what it makes differance,
How does we measure the power of CPU as both above processor are at 2.66 ghz ( some might be producing with more transistor it might be related to heat) but then how i5 will be faster than q6600
what will be the factor in the data sheet would differ......

your question is quite confusing in it's phrasing though the main difference would be the architecture,
core2 vs nehalem.

The Q6600 runs at 2.4Ghz, not 2.66Ghz. The Core2Quad and I5 are also on completely different architectures, and the I5 has things like L3 cache and turbo which core2quad lacks among many architectural tweaks that make I3/I5/I7 more powerful than Core2.

that's Intel's ark where you can compare all sorts of processors from pentium I to 980XE and from simple Xeon's to MP becktons and Itanium.

By looking at benches, for example, @AT Bench.

In there, it is clearly evident that the i5-750 is the more powerful CPU.
