Differance between SD card and compact flash card

I think that the SD card is faster or something... Is it worth the extra money? i have a canon a75 camera. thanks!
 
Some of the newer compact flash cards are pretty fast too. Also, compact flash cards are cheaper per megabyte of memory than SD cards.

Not worth the extra money in my opinion.
 
will the differance i see be like 2-3 seconds or 10-15 seconds? i am going to be taking this on a hiking trip with me so i don't need rapid shot, but i don't want to only be able to take like 4 shots a minute either.

Depends on the media and brand you buy, but the difference for your A75 won't be more than 5 seconds in any mode.
