Good for you man. Be sure to not overwork yourself at the gym. There was a woman at my gym who was on diet of only 1 meal a day with some fish and veggies and water. She was at the gym 6 days a week and on the treadmill for at least an hour. What happened to her body after a month was not pretty. Because she had not taken in enough calories her body started getting it's energy from breaking down muscle. She was boasting she lost 25 lbs in one month, but everybody at the gym saw how emaciated she looked, it was clear that she completely ruined her body. She lost so much muscle tissue in one month that she looked like something out of the movie Schindlers List. Bottom line: Don't make the mistake she did by doing too much exercise with not enough calories. Your body is smart and will compensate by slowing metabolism and possibly consuming prescious muscle tissue.

oh no, I had don't get THAT bad...

on an average weekday, I consume approx 1700 calories. Which is not that much for a 27 year old man of my stature 🙂. On the weekends, it's about 2200/day. im more active.

I'm not starving, but I am cutting back. I definatley feel a little more drained from the lack of calories...but not feebled by it. It's a process.

Vegies are great, but really don't provide the necessary calories...nutrients yes...what that lady really needed to do was add some carbos in there...and spread them out a little. She an almost good idea, just wrong implementation and some tweaks.

🙂

I should add, for frame of reference... this time in 2003 my BMI was 37. Last week it was 32.

doesn't sound like a lot, but 5 BMI points is actually quite a bit. 🙂

update 🙂

I've stagnated at 209... BUT my pants are getting looser!!!
🙂

my man boobs (moobs) are receding and am developing a nice mack (man-rack). 🙂

not to mention shoulders!!! my apetite has gone down, I don't crave anything anymore...and I have some kick ass clothes that now fit 🙂

any suggestions for breaking the stagnantion?

Some success here too. Though I am 5' 8" and used to be only ~160 lbs. But I had a tire around my waist, which was very evident if I wore a polo shirt or a fitting t-shirt.

So I started jogging 4 days a week. In the beginning just jogging for 5 minutes was hell. Now I am upto 35 minutes. But I go kind of slow, and need to work on that. Current weight is 150 lbs.

I can already see an improvement. Infact, today I wore a polo shirt to work, one of those fitting ones they sell at Express. It's actually fitting and looking good. Now I think I will start lifting weights.
