It doesn't have the nasty aftertaste like normal Diet Coke but at the same time it doesn't have the ...... how to say ..... acidity and agressiveness as normal Coke Classic or Coke Zero.

So far it's 3/5 with a bonus for no aspartane taste but lacking in acidity.

Relative scale:

1. Diet Coke
2. -
3. Diet Coke with Splenda (but climbing)
4. Coke Zero
5. Coke Classic

I agree. It's a more mild taste, no bite. To me, it seems "flatter" then the other cokes.

My Coke of choice is Zero. I don't even know why. It doesn't take like regular Coke like they say, but it doesn't take like a typical diet drink either. Good stuff!

No bite and 'flatter' were the words I was looking for.
Zero has the lead in the Diet category. It tastes different because it has 1/2 of the amount of aspartane as regular Diet Coke.

I recently switched from Splenda to Zero. After a year or so of drinking the Splenda Coke I can't stand the taste now..............

On a completely unrelated note, what ever happened to the carbonated water craze?

I've been drinking normal Diet Coke for so long, that even the Splenda Diet Coke taste too sweet for me. I prefer nomal Diet Coke.

You know what's wacky? Diet Coke in Europe is our Coca-Cola Zero, because it contains some chemical that was banned in the USA until last year but wasn't banned in Europe.

Also, Diet Coke (in the USA) is based on the New Coke/Coke II formula, where Coca-Cola Zero is based on the Coke Classic formula.

Coke Zero has both Asparatame and Acesulfame-K, two toxins that the body doesn't need. Best to avoid coke all together.

Now I understand why it tastes so good.

Coke Zero is great. Where does C2 fall on your scale? It's pretty good, between Zero and regular Coke in flavor for me.
