Edit: And I agree with the posters re: artificial sweetener being an acquired taste. Previously, I'd drnk only regular sodas, in large quantitiy. A family predisposition to diabetes, a slowdown in my matabolism, and my wife's prefernce for Diet Coke transitioned me from sugar to sweetener. Now I'd prefer to drink water over regular pepsi/coke.
