I know diesel exhaust smells bad, and can sometimes smell downright rotting garbage nasty, but lately I've noticed a godawful smell coming from diesel fueled vehicles (heavy duty pickups/vans).

The thing it reminds me of is the way a hot toaster smells. I have no idea why a toaster might smell like that, as it's not a food or electrical smell, but that's where I've smelled it before - it's the kind of smell where you barely catch it, go "what's that .." go for a bigger sniff, and then instantly wish you hadn't as you try not to toss your cookies.

The only other possible way I can think to describe it is "oven cleaner smell" though that would obviously vary depending on what you clean your oven with.

Anyone experience the same?

Why don't you go turn on your car and smell more fums. You'll do us all a favor.
