Dielectric grease

Sometimes the speakers will buzz and I have to twist the stereo jack (usual 3.5mm) left/right a few times to stop the buzzing.

Do I need a thin coating of dielectric grease on the jack? Is that what its used for?

No, that's not what it's used for. Dieletric grease is an electrical insulator will only make the connection worse. It's used to protect metal from corrosion.

Ah... so what I need is conductive grease?

Edit- I just googled contact cleaner sprays...
