I've never understood the hatred for fat people.

it's not like their being overweight is somehow having some major negative impact on my life.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHH Have you seen the state of America's people lately?

ahahahaha.

And how does that effect you? If you're coming from the stance of paying more as a taxpayer for their medical situation then I can somewhat see your point, but then I guess anyone that does damaging drugs, drinks alot, boxes where they can end up stuttering, etc should also be discrimated against equally.
Fat people don't bother me, they motivate me to keep on my workout regimen so I don't end up looking as funny and out of shape as they do. Being is shape is great, especially when you can occasionally indulge in some forbidden foods and not worry about it making your ass huge!

Amen! What DOES piss me off is when they ask me to make a diet plan and write them an excersise schedule and then tries it for a week and tell me it didn't work.

http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=460615 Same writer as Die, Fatty, Die.

This guy has some real talent.

We like to watch 'normal' people like you tell us about how they can't get in shape. We smile and nod sympathetically like we feel your pain, but actually, we're thinking that you're a pathetic piece of sh!t that needs to grow a spine and join a gym. You smile sheepishly and say that you just can't stay motivated and just can't stand that feeling of being sore. (For some reason you think that admitting your weaknesses somehow justifies them.) We listen to you bitch and moan. We watch you look for the easy way out. Because of people like you, Bob, we never miss a workout.

You ask us for advice about diet and training and usually we politely offer some guidance, but deep inside we know you won't take our advice. You know that too. We smile and say, 'Hope that helps. Good luck,' but actually we're thinking, 'Boy, it would suck to be you.' We know that 99% of people won't listen to us. Once they hear that it takes hard work, sacrifice and discipline, they stop listening and tune us out.

It's funny because it is true.

Yeah right, you and Terry were having a good laugh at that Lard Family we saw at that restaraunt in New Hampshire😉

Well that's different,I've never seen a truck dressed in a suit and tie before 😀

fvcking hypocrite :| What was all that bullsh|t you were telling me on aim, then? Just that: bullsh|t! :|

Ease up here Nik, I didn't say a single word in public,in fact what I noticed most about the party in question was the fact that he was dressed in a suit and tie in 95 degree heat when the humidity was close to 100 %

are fat people adding to health insurance costs? sure, but so are smokers, drinkers, people who eat red meat, and just about everyone else who lives an unhealthy lifestyle. but I'm not the health police. if they chose to be fat, then it's their problem, not mine.

Excessive smokers, drinkers, etc. also meet constant ridicule or regulation of their lifestyles.

When was the last time you were called smoker as in insult? What about the last time someone was called fatty as an insult?

Hating someone simply because they are fat is on par with Nazi hatred of Jews. But who cares they're fatties! :disgust:

Smokers are among the most shunned group in America. In fact, say you were in a room and a fatty was eating a Big Mac and supersized fries..and another was smoking, it'd be MUCH more acceptable to condemn the smoker for smoking than to mention that the fatty was killing him/herself.

Newsflash: You're not normal. You're not normal because of the choices you've made. Don't expect to be treated as a normal human being when you're not.

is not quite right anymore. Being fat in this country is the norm (isn't something like 60% overweight or obese?).

I was going to say that too. It's very sad, actually.

We had a conversation in confidence, so I can't really say everything I'd like to. While still trying to respect that confidence, what was all that bullsh|t about not worrying about the outside, but loving the person on the inside? What was all that about not being superficial? Worrying about certain things that you came to realize were absolutely worthless to worry about? Lies!?

Ooook, so far what I've learned about the majority of Anandtech posters is that:
1. They love Japanese cars and bashing American cars.
2. They love Bush so much they would let him walk all over them.
3. They hate fat people but are obsessed with Oriental women.

Please tell me this isn't true. For a forum of over 87,000 users it doesn't get nearly as many posts as say a forum that has 1/4th the members. Makes me wonder.

Where did you get that from?
LOL- no kidding. Send that guy over to P&N for a wake up call. 😉

Man, this place does seem to reek of 14-year-old ideals. "Fat people are disgusting?" Whatever. It's not much different than the "All rich people are evil" theme that exists in P&N, I guess. People have created a socially-acceptable group to bash and have jumped aboard it in droves. I guess we all need someone to hate and ridicule. Maybe the murderers and rapists just aren't "hip" enough to be targetted anymore.

Where the hell are you from, pal? I've NEVER been ANYWHERE where smokers are condemned anywhere NEAR how fatties are treated. I'm a fattie AND a smoker (yes, I'm going to die very very soon, thank god) and people have been throwing me insults my entire life for being so, except for a few years in HS when I looked goddamn good. I've never once been insulted for being a smoker, save for on Anandtech when all the people come out of the woodwork in flame wars and give smokers crap for smoking when they're outside -which I really don't want to get into because it'll just start another arguement.

STFU Nik. Our neighbor actually intiated the conversation, it was in the car where the Lard Family didn't hear it and they were much, much fatter than you. Instead of getting pissed why not try doing some Push Aways. Like push yourself away from the dinner table. The only reason you are like you are is because you let yourself go baby. That's probably why your GF cheated on you and left you. Look at yourself naked in the mirror. Now tell me, if you were a good looking chick would you want that laying on top of you at night?

I know I'm harsh but beeing pissed at others because you are obese isn't going to do a thing for you. Get off your butt and do something about it yourself!

I don't give a SH!T about how fat you are unless you complain about it and ask me for advice that you won't take, smoking OTOH is a lot worse and if you were to smoke around me i WOULD tell you that i do not appreciate it.

You are not feeling all that great about yourself, are you Nik? Either it is your self-image that ruins your charade of it being ok to be fat, to me you can be as fat as you want, i really could not care less, but for you it is obviously a problem.

You have to start somewhere. Looking back at when you were looking good and being proud of past accomplishments isn't going to do you a DAMN bit of good now, stop dwelling on it and do something about it, it just sounds pathetic because only YOU can fix it and if you see the problem but haven't got the guts to make the effort then don't expect sympathy.

It may sound harsh but it is honest.

I'm not angry because I'm obese. I'm angry that your significant other and I had a conversation where she seemed to have some sort of mental light flick on and she realized a few great things. Oh I wish I could just say something to you, but I gave my word. Anyway, it pissed me off that she says one thing (that convo) and does another (participate in making light of other people's obesity), considering the previous. And, regardless of how I look, there is never ever any excuse for infidelity. Besides, I was getting laid more often than you are, that's for damned sure!

Where did I demand sympathy for being over weight? Depression is one hell of a motivation killer. Now that I'm coming out of it, I'm working out more often. I could go into it all, but I don't see any point -unless you'd like some work out tips 😛

Just because I smoke doesn't mean I'd light up next to anyone and blow smoke in their face. I don't smoke unless I'm around others that smoke, or I'm outside and I keep a healthy (haha) distance away from those that either don't smoke or that I don't know if they do or not.
