Didn't know for sure, but figured such. Damn you Dr. Dre!!!! 🙂 (I liked Dre's stuff from the gangsta rap era, but 2pac was the man.)

From what I remember (read this a long time ago) they ripped it from her UK promo single and didn't have time to get her approval because the track was so fresh. They got approval from her manager but she never knew about it. I don't think she cared though, cuz when her album/single came out in the US (AFTER 'Stan') it sold like hotcakes for awhile and put her on the American music scene. Its usually pretty tough for UK artists to break out in the States...think Massive Attack, Portishead etc.

 
I swear I thought the subject was "Dildo for rent." I tend to scan things very quickly and come up with some crazy stuff. Definitely called for a reread.
