poor "baby" hmm... yes, i apparently am a "baby" for stating that UPS is quite counter productive in this case and for wanting what i have already paid for.

amen
i've always hated ups. Everytime i get a package, it goes to a someone elses house and i always have to retrieve it every time. Calling them is a waste of time because they just don't care.
So its Fed Ex for me :)
never had a problem with fed ex

I don't like how UPS will just leave the package on my doorstep if I'm not home.

fedex is fine when they don't smash your package and have their drivers make up lies, ultimately denying your claim so you end up with the shaft up the anus. Thank you fedex, for letting me experience homosexual sex.

Maybe they deliver everything to their hub in the CT/MA area and then re-distribute the packages to the local UPS's. I don't know, but there must be a reason since they're a fairly profitable company.

If everyone hates UPS so much, why not demand all of the companies you buy from to ship FedEx, and stop giving UPS money. It only looks like UPS is worse because of the much higher volume of packages going through the system, therefore more total foul-ups.

Intake77: All sorting is done by hand, so your package probably got missorted. Still inexcusable though.

UPS does ship to a central hub and then back out again. This overall is a cheaper distribution method for them, so they do not have to have hubs all over the place. They are a bit cheaper in some cases but they can take more time in delivery. Just their business model.

reminds me of a joke that somebody sent me...
if UPS and Fed-Ex were to merge, will you call them "fed-ups"?

sometimes i like it when they leave packages on the door if nobody's home, since i'm hardly home. of course it will pis me off if i come home and the package is stolen ... but that never happened to me, yet

guess i'm lucky, huh? :)
