Most of the prices according pricegrabber.com is under 300 or 299 retail. I knew you can swing some coupons for office stores to get it under 300 for sure.

Officemax now has them for $299, which includes a 128mb Lexar Compact Flash card.

The A80 is supposed to come out next month. That may drop the price of the A70 if you feel like waiting.

What's the scoop on the A80? :)

I really like my A60, btw. I just got me a slick Canon tripod from Dell.com to go with it (about $40 shipped & taxed). Still, I wish I'd gone for the higher still resolution and video resolution of the A70.

Here.

I do read Tom's for PC hardware (just keeping in mind that their articles are often biased), but they really aren't an expert at some of the other stuff they review. Even their networking equipment reviews are terrible.

While not much of a review at Digitial Photography Review, they allow you to do side by side spec comparisons, and their forums have a lot of info.

The A80 has a pop-out twisting LCD and is 3.9MP (effective).

E-fotografija (non-English) pictures comparing A80, Digital IXUSi, and D60.

Right now many places are taking preorders for $400.
