Didn't SP2 contain ASPI, but now it doesn't??

When I first installed Win2K on this machine I had trouble ripping digital audio using aspi in Audio Catylist. I ran the aspichk program which informed me I had NO aspi layers installed. I later install SP2 and voila full set of aspi drivers show up in the aspichk utility.

I recently re-install everything on my 2k box, install SP2, install Audio Catylist but the aspi rip method wont work, run the aspichk utility and NO aspi layers on my machine.

Have Microsoft removed them from the service pack??

What do I do now?

Many thanks

Dom

ASPI is not included with the Service Pack. You must have installed ASPI somewhere else.

I think if you downloaded the trial version of PowerDVD, it'll probably come with an ASPI installer (look for an aspiinst.exe). Or you could try downloading one from Adaptec's site, although I'm not sure if that'll work.

Go to xp-erience.org and go to their drivers section. There's a download there for ASPI. An update if you have them, an install if you don't (same download)
