Didn't see the answer in the FAQ so it must be a dumb question or just widely known.

I am buying a new computer. If I want to take a few songs from a few CD's and put them on one CD do I need a normal CD Rom and a CDRW or is there a way to just use a CDRW?

You could use just a recorder, but you would have to use the recorder to rip the songs to your hard drive first and then to record from there to the media.

if you want to pick a few songs of a few different cds then it wont matter if you have both or just a cd-rw. Has for tools to do this. I just use CDEX( free). It is pretty easy to use and my mom even can use it. then use nero or easy cd creator to burn the audio cd.
