I am rather confused about how my Dell Precision T3500 which originally came with Windows 7 Professional was able to upgrade to Windows 10 Professional seemingly for free.
Here are some specifics on what I am seeing:
In the Control Panel - Under Systems I see:
Windows is activated
In Settings - Under Activation I see:
Edition - Windows 10 Pro
Activation - Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account
Honestly I am rather confused by this, for when I check the Activation Key it doesn't match the Windows 7 Profession key it is different. Although I do see an a key for Internet Explorer and it is the same my original, which is bizarre.
Can anyone tell me what is going on here, I thought the free upgrade thing for Windows 10 was long past.
