i'd say GH slowed down.

also, you have GH, networking, software, etc. it's really splintered where as OT = OT.

finally in conclusion, Hardware in general has slowed down, there are many many changes but they aren't as significant as they used to be.

Yeah. Definitely. Actually, I thought it was really fun about 5-6 years ago. 3D acceleration was getting really popular, AMD was gaining popularity... Lots of new stuff was appearing.
