We didnt even talk about the State of the Union address in my gov class??? Im not learning crap in that class at the pace it goes (slow) and we dont even look at the State of the union? bah we even talked about that in my calculus class...lol?

The Pres. of the U.S. is required by the Constitution to give a State of the Union address. If you go back to the very first one ever given by G. Washington you will find what he said isn't much different than what GW said, except it only lasted 5 minutes.

You didn't talk about it becaue your teacher is probably a liberal.....they don't like to discuss anything where a Republican is concerned, that is of course to berate and insult them.

This is'nt a civics or current events class it's government....Plus what's up with this new age concept of discussion? Must be a liberal arts concept but i never attended those classes so would'nt know.

Yes. That's exactly it. You know, since teachers can't run their classes by their lesson plans, and because their clearly liberal outlook would interfere with the interpretation of the State of the Union address. Maybe it's because no one decided to ask the teacher about it, or because it's a regular government class and nobody gives a crap about Bush and his minions. Or maybe Mr. Liberal-Guy-Teaching-Government doesn't want kids to know about such words as "hitlerism" and "nucular". That's just a wild guess, mind you.

In my AP US History class we're more likely to talk about colleges and budget cuts than actual current events, since we have to stay on track for AP.
