Ditto for 1st, 2nd. Except for the second, I watched the whole c-section. Wife told them that I would pass out at the sight of blood. Instead, I was absolutely amazed at the whole thing. I seem to remember cutting the cord, but not with 100% certainty. They announced, "it's a boy!" "Cool. Hey, is that her uterus? <turns to my wife> Hey, your uterus is flipped up onto your chest." Anesthesiologist had put her under right after the baby was out. I barely cared that I just had a son born - I was more interested in the whole process. At one point, the doctor tossed some "stuff" - I assume part of the afterbirth. It landed on my arm. I wasn't thrilled, because I had no idea what I was supposed to do with it (to clean it off). Eventually, the doctor said, I'm sorry, your son has been born, your wife is under, you have to leave - I had been asking him question after question.
