Hell no. Occasionaly my mom would, but only if my dad was snoring particularily loud that night. Doesn't happen anymore after his sleep apnea was diagnosed and helped.

I may fall asleep watching tv but I always end up in bed with the wife.

My dad would watch TV and just fall asleep. He'd wake up and go to bed though. So, no, my dad didn't sleep on the couch, he napped on the couch.

OH. Guess I should've clarified. I didn't mean all night, like when your parents might be fighting, I meant while watching TV, as in a long nap, a nap that sometimes does not end until 2 in the morning when he wakes up and realizes he should be in bed.
