Did you write a will or some other kind of after-death document for your family to open and read if the unforseen occurs

Does anyone do that? I've never thought about writing one, but today I was reading an article about the need for something like a will or a letter describing what you want your family to do with your stuff just in case you die in an accident...

No, my family is smart enough to divide up my belongings correctly without a fight.

Everything I have will be left to my brother, because I know my mother would squander it and my father would let her.

You guys need to do this, especially a living trust if you have any real property or rights to real property. Having a will IS NOT enough.

You need a
- durable power of attorney
- Revocable Living Trust
- A living will
- A Will
- and a few more things as safeguards. I can't remember all of them but someone here has to know some more info about these. I need to set all these up. I live in a community property state so I know I'm missing something.

If you do not have a living trust and other safe guards, probate will eat up 6% - 15% of your estate.

I'm 20, in college, and actually own very little.

No for now. Maybe when I actually have something worth passing on.

I have a script that will automatically post my goodbye message on ATOT should I die. Seriously.
