I wanted to do this in two polls to compare the percentages, since that interests me more than the numbers. Which category do you fall into?

Nope, that's why both polls have a third option. I'm not interested in the number of people who vote, not interested in comparing how many people waited versus did not wait. I'm interested in the percentage opinion on whether they were happy with their choice. Two polls was the best way to do that. I could have done one poll and recalculated my results by hand, but this was simpler.

Your poll needs an "no one offered me the option" option.

There's an option for virgins - is that what you were looking for?

It aught to differentiate between virgin by personal choice vs virgin by everybody else's choice.

Ah, I see. I just wasn't interested in those statistics so I didn't put that as a poll option. There still is an accurate option to select if you're a virgin though.

There is no way I would ever marry a woman who is a virgin. Eventually she would start to wonder what another penis would be like and that temptation can wreak havoc on a relationship. It isn't like I find most women to trustworthy to begin with so I definitly wouldn't want that carrot hanging out there. Plus, virgins are almost useless in bed except to say you have had one. I would more likely marry a woman who had been promiscuous and gotten that crap out of her system.....it is great not to be constrained by some belief system.

It's actually a question about you, not your preference of sexual experience in a spouse, but I think I can figure out your answer anyway. ;)

I started out life with that pie in the sky idea of waiting until married and all that nice stuff but that got derailed thankfully because it wasn't until I was older I found out just how deceitful, selfish, and evil a lot of woman can be. I am glad I am not one of those saps who did wait and thought he had a great life until that day his wife came home and out of the blue told him she wanted a divorce and ran off with a worthless POS that he has to pay for now because the witch took more than half of what he worked his life to build up.

So how exactly would sleeping with her beforehand have prevented that?

I was your typical, "wait til marriage" guy in a christian upbringing.

Funny though, I lost it at 20 (my gf was 17, both virgins). We regretted it, but once some time has elapsed I realized I wouldn't want it other way.

I don't know, it just put things into perspective. I was snobby and looked down upon people who lost their virginity, now it's the other way. LOL. I guess a conceited will always find a way to be conceited.

The sex part is irrelevant....the experience part is not. You cannot find the true evil a woman can spew unless you are sleeping with her. I was naive and idealistic when young and would have believed the woman I was in love with and that kind of blindness is dangerous. Women can use sex to get men to do lots of things and believe lots of things...when you aren't getting any. Once that bubble is burst and the fascination is gone you realize one is a lot like any other and you can start looking at things with a realistic eye and take them off of the pedestal.

It's funny, you kind of expect the people who wait to be the ones who are snobbish about it. So far, it seems kinda the other way around. :)
