The first President I voted for was Ronald Reagan in 1984.

The 2000 election has left me wondering whether or not my vote and the votes of the rest of us who are not in the Electoral College (or perhaps the Supreme Court, depending on whom you believe) count for anything at all. And if not, then why we should keep kidding ourselves that "presidential elections" are anything more than popularity contests.
