There was no communist party, so I did manage to spread the votes around.

Anyone who votes a straight party line is a moron and a lemming. It's the lazy person's way to stay involved.

We have several non partisan offices here so we don't know their party affiliation unless we do the research.

No.

I voted Democrat for DA.

I voted Libertarian for Congress.

The person that ran for the State House ran unopposed, but was a republican.

Other than that I voted republican for Criminal Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, Tax Collecter, and President.

the way the instructions on my ballot read, i could mark the straight ticket bubble, but then i could still vote individually in any particular race

so i could mark "republican" , but then if i voted for the democrat in the secretary of state race, my vote was for that democrat. it is just an easy way to not have to mark every bubble, but it doesn't mean you can mix your votes

There are no "straight ticket" options on ballots here. If you want to vote for all the republicans or all the democrats, you have to go down to each office and select your candidates individually.

I voted straight ticket (Pres, VP, Senate, House).....but only because the people I voted for happened to be in the same political party. But no, there was no "straight ticket" option on my ballot. I didn't vote on any local positions since I didn't know anything about the people running.

I split my vote, although for everything local (except county mayor) I voted straight democrat. In Utah, republicans have way too much power...need to try and balance it out a little bit:)

Voted for Bush, then voted Libertarian for every candidate I could except for one Republican at the local level whom I knew and was indeed qualified for the job.

No but i filled every republican slot :D.

That way if the comps screw up, it won't affect every vote.

FYI--my local had only unapposed republicans  and well i sure as he!! wasnt gonna vote for kerry and fiengold constantly votes to raise taxes (just a tax you to death and spend liberal)

I heard the next newsweek says that the kerry campaign was a giant clusterfvck and kerry couldn't make up his mind up on anything--extremely damning if true.
