It was better than the 2nd one, but i thought it failed to live up to it's hype.

1) In the battle for Gandor, the king falls and gets hurt. Out of the thousands of knights around there, the only person to defend him is his daughter?!

2) The daughter, with little combat experience, kills the wraiths dragon quite easily??? if those dragons are that easy to kill, then why didnt they shoot it out of the sky w/arrows?!

3) Gee, an invinsible ghost army. kinda a cop out if u ask me.

4) How the heck did the spider sting frodo if he was wearing his indestructable dwarven mesh armor???

5) And don;t get me going about the scene at the Black Gate...

At least this time there were no cars in the background.

No... i liked it. But from what I hear the last 30 minutes was strange. Good thing I had to leave.

I think they were a bit busy. And that's the way it was written in the book.

The dragons are at home in the air. On the ground I would imagine they are a bit vulnerable.

3) Gee, an invinsible ghost army. kinda a cop out if u ask me.

I can't remember if they actually did that in the book? I thought Aragorn led an army of men off the boats.

4) How the heck did the spider sting frodo if he was wearing his indestructable dwarven mesh armor???

His armor was only a shirt. He got stabbed below it.

5) And don;t get me going about the scene at the Black Gate...

You mean that they let themselves be surrounded? What didn't you like...

At least this time there were no cars in the background.

Just got back from the theatre with my 4 year old. He cried when Frodo was leaving Sam at the end.. :(

It's Gondor. The king who fell is Theoden, king of Rohan. Eowyn is his niece, not daughter. That's how it was in the book, she was basically in the right place at the right time.

2) The daughter, with little combat experience, kills the wraiths dragon quite easily??? if those dragons are that easy to kill, then why didnt they shoot it out of the sky w/arrows?!

In case you missed it, she removed its head. She's quite good with a sword.

3) Gee, an invinsible ghost army. kinda a cop out if u ask me.

Also in the book. There is a reason the ghost army is there.

4) How the heck did the spider sting frodo if he was wearing his indestructable dwarven mesh armor???

If you look at Frodo later you can see Shelob didn't get him in the chest. She most likely nailed him just below the mail shirt.

In summary, perhaps adventure movies/books aren't for you and you should stick to plain action films.

Read the book

4) How the heck did the spider sting frodo if he was wearing his indestructable dwarven mesh armor???

Stabbed lower maybe? I didnt see where he was stabbed, but the mesh only covered his torso

5) And don;t get me going about the scene at the Black Gate...

read the book

I liked it.

1) In the book, Eowyn was mad that she couldn't go into battle, because she was a woman. So she dressed up as a man and went anyway. She was severely depressed and sort of suicidal. When Theoden rushed into battle, she was the only one that stuck with him, because everyone else was afraid of the Nazgul. (It's also Gondor, not Gandor)

2) Eowyn was good with a sword. Also, their main weapon was fear. Legolas shot one down in The Two Towers (the book).

3) It was in the book. They had made a promise, and didn't keep it, so they were cursed never to rest in peace. In the book, they did not come to the battle. Aragorn led an army of Rangers (more of his race) to the Battle of the Pellenor Fields. The ghosts conquered the ships, then the rangers sailed to Gondor.

4) In the book, Shelob stung him in the neck.

5) In the book, they had an army of about 10,000 iirc.

EDIT: Spelling

Maybe you should have read the book first before making a fool of yourself here. I thought the movie was great and I was really surprised at the end. I expected a lot of the ending to be cut off from the book since it wasn't really "necessary". I'm glad that they kept it in though.

They looked mostly busy (and dead) to me.

2) The daughter, with little combat experience, kills the wraiths dragon quite easily??? if those dragons are that easy to kill, then why didnt they shoot it out of the sky w/arrows?!
Because it was written that way in the book? No one complained then...

3) Gee, an invinsible ghost army. kinda a cop out if u ask me.
Uh, it had to be there. It was in the book.

4) How the heck did the spider sting frodo if he was wearing his indestructable dwarven mesh armor???
I'm sure the book didn't specify where he was stung, or did and explained that it was not in an area protected by the vest. This was mentioned as a "plot hole" on the sites that identify that kinda thing but how it it a plot hole if it is done right in the book?

5) And don;t get me going about the scene at the Black Gate...
Dunno what you mean
At least this time there were no cars in the background.

Never seen the first one.
Never seen the second one.
Don't plan on ever seeing the third one.

Why? Because they all suck.

It was good but with all the incessant clapping that people were doing during the movie I started to get annoyed. I wanted to see one of those damn hobbits get impaled so they'd shut the hell up.

And how do you establish your credibility considering you've never even seen the movie? Would you like a cookie?
