Not really. There was some lame class, but it wasn't really sex ed. Trinidadians are too conservative for that kind fo thing.

Even though the teacher was a great looker and taught the course well, I kept flunking. I had to explain about a hundred times I'm a kenetic learner.

Human Sexuality 101: Three hours lecture, two hours lab.. ;)

Why, Adul, do you have questions about your sexuality?

I think it was 9th grade, maybe 10th. Kind of funny...by the time you were old enough to take the class, you pretty much didn't need it anymore!

sex ed was incorporated into our health class...Now, sex ed (including AIDS discussions) starts in the 1st grade in my school district and goes every year up until 10th grade.

I took sex ed, in a catholic junior high school.

That was certainly a surreal experience. The class was taught by a nun too.

Out of curiosity, how did that go? Are you damaged for life? Or, let me guess... the only thing they taught was abstinence.. "Sex, don't do it, it's against God's will."

I have a funny story about that class. I will post it here when I get home from work today. It's nothing really bad, but the network censors at my job may not like it. Got to be careful here at work.

In freshman year HS (1987) we all had a 1 semester mandatory Health class, and one section of the class (a week or so) was dedicated to sexual reproduction. Purely the medical aspects of it though, not teacher demonstrations or pr0n videos... geeze-- how's a geeky kid supposed to learn? :p The answer: At that time--Thank god for darth vader costumes and fund raising fairs.* ;)

They did split out the M's and the F's to go watch a 'special' film. I don't recall anything informative, mostly it was cheeeeeeeseeeeee. If you got through the cheese part, It was about the risks of pregnancy (what protection works best/worst) for the guys. It was just really badly presented... but I guess helpful.

Nowadays, TGFT Internet -- the holy grail of 2nd hand sex education, right?!! :p Ha.

*Just saw ROTN the other night on TV, that was 1984 and was on cable about the time I was in 8th grade.

They started in fifth grade for us. One day they split us all up and our guidance consoler (who years later I would realize could probably double for Ron Jeremy) explained it all to us.

I think it was in middle school at some point. One little lecture and that was about it, iirc. Then sex ed just kinda disappeared. Not that I needed it after that ;) Like somebody else said, by the time you're old enough to take the class, you probably already know everything they're going to tell you. My only problem with sex ed was...*ahem*...being able to put the theories into practice:| :p
