Class Action Claims Site - If you purches an AIWA stereo system between 1992 - 2000, you may be entitled to a settlement.

I bought one from Sears several years ago, and it is the bigges POS i've ever owned. The CD player hasn't worked in about 3 years.

I have one and it sucks too, it turns on on its own and everything and switches to MD (line in basically) when it does. Its very straaaaange. Its a CX-NA888 and its...sort of listed. Listed as a CX-NA888UST  whats the difference........
Oh...Regarding the CD player though i stopped using it a long time ago cause it worked erratically so i dont really know the status on whatever that is if it matters. I have one in my computer hooked up to a 5.1 surround anyway

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS HEADS UP!

I have an Aiwa CX-NA50 and it was actually something I enjoyed owning until it stopped playing CDs. I would very much like to get it fixed!

Had I known of this settlement, I wouldn't have purchased the POS Panasonic minishelf system that I own now.

I loved my AIWA...when it worked.

Mine has quit playing CD's. Don't know when considering I've never used the CD player portion of it. I suppose if I care enought I'll file a claim.

Well you buy something cheap, you get what you paid for! If you want something to last you have to foot the big cash to buy that.

Had my Aiwa bookshelf stereo system for at least 8 years and it still works perfectly, including the cd player.

I wouldn't say AIWA systems are cheap, unless $300 for a system a budget spending for you. But at the same time, my system (CX-NMA845) works just fine and has been working fine for the last 5 years.

(2) Shipping Refund Remedy - If you had a performance problem with the CD component of your AIWA CD Mini System and paid to ship your unit to an AIWA factory service center or an AIWA authorized service center for repair, you may be eligible for this form of relief. (3) Repair Remedy - If your are currently experiencing a performance problem with the CD component of your AIWA CD Mini System, you may be eligible for this form of relief. (4) $10.00 rebate remedy - If you have not experienced any problems with the performance of your AIWA CD Mini System, you may still be eligible for this form of relief.

too bad it doesn't include the aiwa cdc-mp3 car decks.. I bought one of those about a year ago and it's the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned, almost ashamed to have it installed

Same here. Probably going on closer to 10 years for me. Never had the slightest bit of trouble with it, and still consider it one of my best purchases.

I never use the CD player, but hopefully it works. :)

Thanks much!
The CD player on my 5 year old CX-ZR525 has been acting up for quite a while. I was just debating whether to fix it or just get a new unit. Guess I know what to do now!
