I just decided not to go.

I guess I could go if I really tried... I hope many people don't show up so I don't look as bad.

Man.. stupid GF went to bed peacefully last night because her work was already canceled. I wish I was in education. She's in up there in administration so makes good money + all the random ass days off. :(

I don't want to go. The roads aren't the least bit clear. But, my boss has an AWD vehicle and he's a workaholic so I know he will be there and expect everyone else to be there too.

It snowed a lot here and the roads aren't clear at all
I am getting ready now and will arrive to work only a few minutes late from normal time (hopefully)

I wish I didnt have to... The roads were horrible here in Western MA. But, I only live less than 2 miles from work, so I don't really have much of an excuse...

Same here.

A foot of snow during the night? I'd best be at work, and on time, or it counts against me.:(

I'll see how it goes. I cleared out the GTO, and went around the block. Even with winter tires and 120 pounds of sand in the trunk, it still has trouble starting on hills. Even slight hills. Work is not worth wrecking my car!

always work from home, but my wife took the day off and since I didn't have to drive her, allowed me a couple extra hours of snooze time. Too bad though, I really wanted to go driving in this...

damn it!

I didn't hear about the delayed opening
so I am in the office (just got in) and no one from my team is here yet
and my car is parked outside in the snowstorm :(

edit: my boss just sent an email saying she's working from home

Believe me, I'm considering it, once I have a decent job. :)
The tires I've got now perform like they're greased with Crisco. There's still lots of tread, it just doesn't do much.

A set of good snowtires cost like $400...and you'd have to buy a new set of tires when your summers wore out anyway so you're really just paying about the same, only a little earlier, then if you ran all seasons all year. Its not like those all seasons are getting worn down all winter while they sit in your garage, right?

I never understand why people say they can't afford snow tires. It costs marginally more then running all seasons.

Edit: I mean if you live in a snow prone area.
